Scented Candles

FAQ

Where should I store unused scented candles?

To keep unused scented candles in their best condition, store them in a cool, dark, and dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. A cabinet or closet works perfectly. Keep the lids on or use an airtight container to preserve the fragrance and prevent dust. Always store candles upright and avoid stacking or temperature changes, to help maintain their scent, color, and shape.

Are scented candles safe for everyday use?

Scented candles are generally safe when enjoyed in moderation and with proper ventilation. Excessive burning, or use by anyone with respiratory sensitivities, can pose risks. To keep it safe, consider candles made from natural, non-toxic ingredients. Burn them in a well-ventilated space and extinguish the flame with a snuffer instead of blowing it out to prevent smoke and soot.

How long should I burn a scented candle for?

For the best results, burn your candle for no more than four hours at a time and always allow it to cool completely before relighting. The first burn should melt the entire top layer of wax to the edges to prevent a memory ring. Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each use to ensure a clean, even burn. Follow common guidelines, like the “3-hour candle rule”, and discontinue use when only ¼ to ½ inch of wax remains to prevent the container from overheating and keep your candle burning safely.
